Lillian has over 20 years’ professional work experience in both rural and urban water and sanitation sub sector. She has worked with water production systems (piped and point), distribution and wastewater treatment plants. She has experience in establishing quality management systems and water safety plans in utility service from the practice with National water and sewerage corporation in Uganda. Lillian has served in several leadership roles including leading the technical and area teams for Jinja Area; before joining SNV Uganda where she adopted the advisory and systems strengthening approaches. Having worked with decentralised local governments she has a vast understanding of governance systems in Uganda. Lillian is passionate about delivering sustainable solutions especially embedding innovations in the routines of service delivery. As such her quest to unlearn, learn and re learn never fades. Michelle is a seasoned communications leader with over 19 years of experience in public relations, strategic communications, and impact storytelling. As Global Communications Manager, she leads global efforts to elevate the organisation’s visibility, influence, and support through powerful and purposeful storytelling. Driven by a deep belief in the power of communications to inspire change, Michelle develops and executes strategies that connect diverse audiences and stakeholders—from urban communities to governments and donors—to drive behaviour change and promote inclusive water and sanitation solutions. She holds a master’s degree in Communication Studies and a bachelor’s degree in Information Sciences, combining academic insight with hands-on expertise to deliver communications that are both strategic and impactful.

With over 22 years of experience, including a decade in leadership roles, Uttam has expertise in project and program management, partnership building, and strategic leadership. A holder of a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, complemented by certifications in project management and urban poverty reduction, Uttam is equipped to lead urban water, sanitation, waste management, and renewable energy initiatives. In addition, he has a good understanding of WASH governance and its context in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Rose is a highly experienced accountant with deep expertise in financial management within the non-governmental organization (NGO) sector. She holds an Associate Degree in Accounting from Uganda Christian University (formerly Uganda Catholic Social Training Centre) and a Master’s Degree in Finance and Administrative Management from NIBM, with a specialization in Financial Reporting and Risk Management. Rose also holds partial accreditation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and has continued to build her expertise through advanced studies in Digital Finance. She has completed numerous USAID- and DFID-sponsored trainings designed specifically for non-profit financial management, further strengthening her ability to navigate the complex financial and compliance requirements of development organizations. With a strong foundation in financial reporting, risk management, and donor compliance, Rose brings a strategic and solutions-oriented approach to addressing the unique financial challenges faced by NGOs.

Md. Sazzadul Karim is a Project Assistant – WASH with hands-on field support. Since joining WSUP Bangladesh’s VFC04 project in Chattogram in February 2025, he has conducted community awareness sessions on handwashing, shared-toilet usage, menstrual hygiene management and water stewardship; assisted in operation-and-maintenance workshops to keep toilet and wash facilities clean and functional; facilitated landowner forums on waste management, fire safety and Faecal Sludge Management (FSM) by SWEEP; and entered session information in mWater to track project progress and digitize data. He also supports the formation and Training-of-Trainers workshops for factory WASH committees, organizes WASH observance events in both community and factory settings, and provides ongoing logistical and technical assistance to the project manager across a range of activities. A graduate of Noakhali Science & Technology University, Sazzad holds both B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Statistics. He began his career as an enumerator on two WSUP-led research projects. He is co-author of the PLOS ONE study “Socioeconomic and Demographic Risk Factors of Autism Spectrum Disorder Among Children and Adolescents in Bangladesh” (https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0289220), reflecting his commitment to data-driven program support and evaluation.

Moin Uddin Tanvir is a dedicated and results-driven WASH and infrastructure development professional with over five years of experience in improving water, sanitation, and hygiene services in urban low-income communities. As a Field Engineer at WSUP (Water & Sanitation for the Urban Population), he leads the planning, coordination, and implementation of WASH block projects, ensuring technical precision, community involvement, and long-term sustainability. He holds a Master’s in Environmental Science and Management and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. His career includes impactful roles with Islamic Relief Bangladesh and UNDP, where he contributed to infrastructure development and humanitarian response efforts. Moin brings strong technical skills in project design, BOQ preparation, AutoCAD, and monitoring and evaluation, complemented by training in safeguarding, data protection, and participatory development. He is passionate about advancing public health through sustainable and inclusive WASH solutions, combining hands-on field expertise with a commitment to community empowerment.
