Tahia joined WSUP as a WASH Engineer and has since been promoted to Senior Technical and Knowledge Management Officer. In this role, she is responsible for planning and improving the effectiveness of WASH interventions, with a focus on increasing access to safe water and sanitation for low-income urban communities. Her expertise spans key areas of the WASH sector, including citywide inclusive sanitation, faecal sludge management, occupational health and safety for sanitation and waste workers, climate change, emergency response, and waste management. Tahia brings a holistic perspective to her work, understanding the critical link between technical solutions and community engagement. Prior to joining WSUP, she worked as a Research Associate on Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation-funded projects at ITN-BUET. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Environmental Management.
