With years of experience in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), Aklima is a Hygiene Specialist with WSUP Bangladesh. Since joining WSUP in January 2017, she has dedicated herself to improving hygiene practices and promoting healthy behaviour change in underserved communities. With a Master’s in Social Science from Rajshahi University, Aklima understands the social and cultural factors that impact hygiene behaviour. Her diverse experience in development organizations has equipped her with various skills, including program management, stakeholder engagement, policy and strategy development and capacity building. In the past, she has worked in different reputed national and international development organizations in water sanitation sector programs and training.
